It’s no surprise that Lagos is one of the most beautiful and visited cities in the Algarve—I fell in love with it instantly!
The historic center of Lagos is the heart of Mediterranean charm in Portugal. With narrow, winding alleys, colorful boutique shops, trendy restaurants, and vibrant bars, it offers a unique urban experience filled with life and energy.
The historic buildings, including fortresses and old churches, blend seamlessly with the city's modern atmosphere, creating a perfect fusion of old and new. And with the sea just a stone’s throw away, Lagos provides easy access to some of the region’s most stunning beaches.
The city center is a perfect place to explore on foot, allowing you to soak in the local culture while enjoying spectacular views. We spent four nights in Lagos, balancing daytime strolls through the charming streets with evening dining experiences at some of the best restaurants.
